Located 1/3 of a mile from Downtown Athens and just off of dogwood-lined Prince Avenue is the historic Boulevard neighborhood. Late 19th century homes comprised of Craftsman & Victorian architectural styles are sited on tree lined streets. Boulevard is a pedestrian friendly neighborhood, too! Most homes in Boulevard are located a very short distance from in-neighborhood restaurants like Heirloom Cafe & Fresh Market, Pulaski Heights BBQ, White Tiger Gourmet and more. Chase Street Warehouses are another local favorite with art galleries, yoga studios, and the Tree Room event space.
Perhaps the most well-known neighborhood of Athens, this 1920s-era neighborhood is where traditional Athens meets modernity. Homes of various architectural styles can be found throughout the neighborhood from stately brick homes in Five Points proper to midcentury modern homes in the Bedgood-Glenwood area. The heart of Five Points is comprised of shops and restaurants – be sure to try Donna Chang’s, Hugh Acheson’s Five & Ten, LRG Provisions, and The Royal Peasant!
Not Normal. Retro. Hipster. Just a few of the words locals use to describe the full of character Normaltown. From there, grab donuts and coffee and you’ve got all you need to satisfy a sweet tooth in a community that is anything but ordinary!
